Consumables & Allergens Policy — Giving Tree Gift Co

Giving Tree Gift Co offers curated gift boxes that may include food, beverages, candy, tea, supplements, topical products, cosmetics, bath/body items, or other items intended to be ingested or applied to the body (collectively, “Consumables & Sensitives”). This policy explains important information about these items, including allergens and product suitability.

1) Manufacturer-Sealed Products; No Repackaging

All Consumables & Sensitives included in our gift boxes are provided in original, manufacturer-sealed packaging. We do not open, alter, relabel, repackage, or otherwise modify these items.

2) Ingredients, Allergen Statements, and Product Information

Ingredient lists, allergen statements, nutrition information, warnings, directions, and other product details are determined by the manufacturer and may change without notice. Product photos and descriptions on our Site are provided for general convenience and may not reflect the most current formulation.

You are responsible for reviewing the label on the item you receive (and contacting the manufacturer directly if needed) to confirm ingredients, allergen information, and suitability before consuming or using any product.

3) Allergens and Sensitivities

Consumables & Sensitives may contain, or may have been manufactured/processed in facilities that handle, common allergens or irritants. These may include (without limitation) milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, peanuts, tree nuts, wheat, soy, sesame, and/or other ingredients that can cause allergic reactions or sensitivities (including fragrances, botanicals, or essential oils in topical items).

We do not represent or guarantee that any item is allergen-free, nut-free, gluten-free, vegan, fragrance-free, hypoallergenic, non-toxic, or suitable for any particular dietary need or sensitivity.

4) No Medical or Dietary Advice

We do not provide medical, health, allergy, or dietary advice. You are solely responsible for determining whether any item is safe and appropriate for you or any gift recipient, including based on allergies, sensitivities, pregnancy, medical conditions, medications, or dietary restrictions.

Do not consume or use any item if you are uncertain about its ingredients or suitability. Seek professional guidance if you have questions about allergies or sensitivities.

5) Gifts to Third Parties

If you purchase a gift for someone else, you are responsible for ensuring the recipient is aware of this policy and has the opportunity to review ingredient/allergen information and any warnings or directions prior to use or consumption.

6) Storage, Shelf Life, Temperature, and Shipping Conditions

Many Consumables & Sensitives are sensitive to temperature, humidity, sunlight, and time. “Best by,” “use by,” or similar dates (if any) are set by the manufacturer.

Delivery and carrier handling conditions are outside our control. We do not guarantee that items will not melt, soften, bloom, leak, break, or otherwise change in appearance/texture during shipment. Upon delivery, you are responsible for promptly retrieving, inspecting, and properly storing items according to manufacturer guidance.

7) Returns and Refunds

For food safety and hygiene reasons, Consumables & Sensitives are not eligible for return or exchange, except where required by law or as expressly stated in our Return & Refund Policy.

If an item arrives damaged or your order is incorrect, please contact us promptly in accordance with our Return & Refund Policy and include photos of the shipping box and the affected item(s).

8) Recalls and Safety Notices

If a manufacturer issues a recall or safety notice for a product we sold, we may post a notice on our Site and/or attempt to contact purchasers using the information provided at checkout. Remedies for recalled items may be determined by the manufacturer and/or required by applicable law.

9) Limitation of Responsibility

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Giving Tree Gift Co is not responsible for adverse reactions, allergies, sensitivities, or other outcomes resulting from the consumption or use of manufacturer-sealed products, including where you or the recipient did not review the product label or confirm suitability.

This policy is incorporated by reference into our Terms of Service and is subject to our Return & Refund Policy, Shipping Policy, and Privacy Policy.
